Personal Background

(Birgit Achberger)
TransLinguaTec

I discovered my love and talent for languages while living in Mexico for 4 years, from 1996 until 2000, where I attended a silversmith school and worked as a self-employed silversmith,. After returning to Germany, initially I enrolled in a program at a school for certified foreign language correspondents (English/French/German). Upon receiving my certification, I pursued a degree at the Foreign Language Institute for Certified Translators and Interpreters (Spanish/English/German) in Munich , where I specialized in technology.

Since my studies I have been working as a freelance translator, interpreter and language teacher on several projects, mainly concentrating on English and Spanish with a focus on technical terminology and as a result I have had a number of opportunities to gain work experience with clients on site in the most diverse sectors of technology.

My open-mindedness, pleasant personality and my long-term experience with intercultural communication facilitate the completion of the task at hand, above all when working with clients of the most diverse nationalities.
